Groundations Reggae Month 2012

The Jamaica Music Museum is proud to produce “Groundations – Reggae Month 2012″ .

Each Sunday during February, topics related to our reggae greats and the music of Jamaica, fifty years on, will be explored.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Sunday February 5, 2012 – “Sounds of Plantacracy – Resistance and Freedom in the music of the Wailers”
  • Sunday February 12, 2012 – “Bob Andy – The Man, the Artist; Discusses Life with Kaye Osbourne”
  • Sunday February 19, 2012 – “The songs of Federation and Jamaica’s Independence”
  • Sunday February 26, 2012 – “Black Art Miracle in the Home Space Oddessy –  The Influence of Lee “Scratch” Perry and Osborne “King Tubby” Ruddock on global pop music”  

 

 

Groundations 2012 – Dennis Brown Symposium

The Dennis Brown Symposium was held January 29, 2012 at the Liberty Hall , 76 King Street Kingston.
